About Us
At Riverstone Outfitters, we believe a good day on the water can change everything. We're a crew of experienced, local guides who live and breathe fly fishing—and we’re here to give you the experience of a lifetime in one of the wildest, most beautiful corners of the country.
We operate out of northwest Montana, guiding on legendary rivers surrounded by mountains, grizz tracks, and stories you can’t make up. Whether you're casting a fly rod for the first time or chasing your next personal best, we’ve got you covered—from high-country cutthroat streams to long, smooth runs full of browns.
We keep it tight. No egos, no fluff—just professional-grade guiding, deep local knowledge, and a team that has your back. We work hard, run clean boats, and hustle every day to make sure you walk away with more than just fish photos (though you'll get those too).
Our Story
Riverstone Outfitters started the way most good things in Montana do—with a few friends, a couple of drift boats, and a deep obsession with wild rivers. We didn’t set out to build a big company. We just wanted to guide the right way: with grit, respect for the water, and a hell of a lot of heart.
Over time, word got out. Folks came for the fishing, but stayed for the stories, the honesty, and the kind of days that stick with you long after you’ve rinsed the river dust off your boots.
We’ve built this outfit one cast, one handshake, and one repeat client at a time. And that’s how we like it.

Why We Guide
We guide because there’s nothing better than watching someone connect—with the river, the fish, the moment.
It’s about more than just putting clients on trout. It’s teaching a good drift. It’s knowing when to row back up for another shot. It’s watching the light shift over a bend in the river and feeling damn lucky to be there.
We do this because we love the work. We love the early mornings, the river miles, the laughs, the challenges, and yeah—even the slow days. We guide because this place means something to us, and sharing it means even more.

Moments like this—that’s why we guide.
